1、Measure Your Window:
Measure the width of the window where you plan to install the blinds. Note down the measurement.
2、Mark Mounting Locations:
Use a pencil to mark the mounting locations on the wall or window frame. Typically, brackets are placed near the top corners of the window and, if applicable, one in the center.
3、Install Mounting Brackets:
Hold the first bracket against the wall or window frame, aligning it with your pencil marks. Use a level to ensure it is straight.
Mark the screw holes on the wall with a pencil.
Drill pilot holes for the screws, and then secure the bracket using screws.
Repeat the process for the other brackets.
4、Attach Valance Clips (if applicable):
If your faux wood blinds have a valance, attach the valance clips to the front of the headrail. This will allow you to snap the valance into place later.
5、Install Faux Wood Blinds:
Slide the headrail of the blinds into the brackets. The headrail should click or snap into place.
If your blinds have a valance, snap it onto the valance clips.
6、Secure the Safety Cleats (if applicable):
If your blinds have safety cleats to secure the cords, install them according to the manufacturer's instructions. These are usually installed on the window frame or wall and are used to keep cords out of reach of children and pets.
7、Test the Operation:
Operate the blinds to ensure they raise, lower, and tilt smoothly.
